Name: Arbutin
Synonym: Arbutine, beta-arbutin, ursin
Chemical name: 4-Hydroxyphenyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside
CAS#: 497-76-7
Property: Arbutin effectively inhibits formation of melanin, splash and fleck can be got ride of and no side effects are caused. Arbutin can also moisten the skin which looks very lightening, so arbutin is used skin lightening and whitening agents in the cosmetics. Arbutin was also used as a drug. Arbutin can quickly penetrate into the skin, effectively inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase in the skin and blocking the formation of melanin without affecting the proliferation of skin cells. By combining itself with tyrosinase, it accelerates the decomposition and excretion of melanin, thereby reducing skin pigmentation. It is one of the popular cosmetic raw materials and a commonly used cosmetic active agent. Adding Arbutin to hair conditioners can inhibit the growth of dandruff. Arbutin can be combined with amphoteric surfactant cations to reduce skin irritation, some even non-irritating, and can control the adhesion of surfactants
Specification:
Arbutin more than 99.5%.
Hydroquinone less than 10 ppm.
Insoluble particles in water less than 10 pcs per 100 grams arbutin.
