Application and synthesis of benzene sulfonic acid
Colorless or leaflike crystals of chemical properties. It is easy to dissolve in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether and carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in benzene.
Uses are mainly used in the production of phenol by alkali, and also for the production of resorcinol, etc., and are usually used as catalysts in esterification and dehydration reactions
It is used as an experimental reagent and catalyst, as well as organic synthesis and phenol manufacture
The application of benzene sulfonic acid in oilfield water injection can remove formation plugging and improve formation permeability. As the acid of acid injection well, benzene sulfonic acid is characterized by slow reaction with carbonate, greater concentration, slower reaction speed and more acidification. Compared with hydrochloric acid, benzene sulfonic acid (and mixed aromatic sulfonic acid) has a long effective period, small corrosion and safe use. Benzene sulfonic acid is also used as catalyst for esterification and dehydration, as well as curing agent in foundry industry.
Test of ammonium salt and potassium salt. Determination of zinc. Organic synthesis. Manufacture of phenol and resorcinol. Catalyzer It can be used as dehydration catalyst, resin curing agent and electroplating additive, and also can be used as dye intermediate.
The production method is based on benzene as raw material and sulfonated by sulfuric acid. 93% 2400L sulfuric acid added sulfonation pot, benzene 2500-3000L/h to flow into the evaporator through evaporation and temperature for overheating overheating of benzene vapor above 150 DEG C, by bubbling reaction in sulfuric acid layer, the temperature at about 170 DEG C, the free acid control in 4-5%. After about 10h or so to complete the reaction of benzene vapor and water vapor generated by condensation reaction without separation, acid benzene by alkali neutralization, dehydration after salt recycling. Removal of benzene from benzene containing benzene sulfonic acid by vacuum benzene removal unit. The yield of sulfonation was 96.5%. Benzene sulfonic acid is neutralized by sodium sulfite or sodium hydroxide, and then sodium benzene sulfonate is obtained. The neutralization yield was 99%. Raw material consumption quota: benzene 600kg/t and fuming sulfuric acid 750kg/t.
