Titanium dioxide is one of important white pigment and porcelain glaze,which is used in industry, like paint, printing ink, plastic, rubber,papermaking, chemical fiber and watercolor.

Titanium dioxide is the whitest in the world; 1 gram titanium dioxide canpaint area of more than 11250px2 white. It is 5 times whiter than common whitepigment  lithopone, so it is the best pigment to produce white paint. Thetitanium dioxide used as pigment in the world is more than hundreds ofthousands tons a year. It can be used in the papermaking, which can make thepaper white but opacity. Its effectiveness is 10 times larger than otherobjectives. So it can be used in banknote paper and artwork paper.

In order to lighten the plastic color, make the rayon color gentle,sometimes titanium dioxide is added.

In rubber industry, it is also used as filler of white rubber.

Photochemistry property of semiconductor titanium dioxide has already beenused in many fields, such as the purification of air, water and liquid. Photocatalystwith carbon atom or other heteroatom can be also used in confined space or areawith scattering light source. When it is used in coating of construction,flagstone, concrete wall or roof tile, it can increase the decomposition of airpollutants, such as nitric oxide, aromatic hydrocarbon and aldehydes.

Ultrafine titanium dioxide has excellent UV shielding and transparency,which is widely used in cosmetics, wood ware protection, food packagingplastic, durable home use film, artificial fiber and natural fiber, clear dope.It is also be used in limousine coating because of its special optical effectin metalized coating.
