An enzyme inhibitor is a molecule, which binds to enzyme and subsequently stops a substrate from entering the active site of enzyme and/or hinders the catalysis of enzyme.An inhibitor of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT). Shows inhibitory effect in rat liver microsomes (IC50 = 17.5 µM) and Raji cells (IC50 = 2.8µM).
