Physics and chemical properties:
Its pure products is white crystalline powder, melting point is 256-258C.
Its solubility is 5ppm in the water, but it is very easily soluble in methanol, ethanol, chloroform, acetone and other organic solvents, it do not mix with strong alkaline substances.
Application:
Brassinolide is used as an oil-emulsion or water-emulsion for a variety of crops, e.g. rice, wheat, corn, cotton, tobacco; and for lots of orchard and fruit products, e.g., orange, bean, cucumber, potato, vegetable. It can improve plants growth and increase output remarkable, and it also can improve plants resistant ability against disease, salt, chillness and the harmfulness of herbicides.
Function:
1. Promote cell division and expansion,
2. Facilitate fertilization of hermaphrodite and female and accelerate number of fruiting bodies,
3. Increase the chlorophyll content and promote plant's photosynthesis,
4. Strengthen the plant's drought-resistant ability.
